At Trailside Mini Aussies, we raise Miniature American Shepherds (also known as Miniature Australian Shepherds) with BDE (Big Dog Energy) in a perfectly portable size. These little dogs are athletic, confident, and ready for adventure—without losing the cuddly family side that makes them beloved companions.

Our dogs aren’t delicate lap pets. They’re the kind of dogs who happily hike mountain trails, swim in lakes, tag along to horse chores, or ride quietly in the side-by-side. They thrive when included in your daily life—whether that’s life on a farm, an active family in the suburbs, or even city living with plenty of enrichment and adventure.

Every puppy is raised using a structured puppy curriculum grounded in animal behavior science. This means daily enrichment, intentional exposures, and early problem-prevention (like resource guarding protocols) so they grow into resilient, adaptable, and confident family members.
